Becky Brown, a cherished member of the Augusta community, was born on March 4, 9, in Augusta, Georgia. With a heart as big as her love for others, she devoted her life to uplifting those around her and caring for her fellow community members. Becky proudly graduated from T.W. Josey High School in 1978, where her spirit of camaraderie and support for her peers began to flourish.
Becky’s commitment to bettering her community was evident in all that she did. She was known for her vibrant personality and her unwavering dedication to honing her crafts throughout the Central Savannah River Area (C.S.R.A.). Whether it was lending a helping hand or simply sharing a warm smile, Becky's presence was a beacon of light for those around her.
On October 26, 2025, Becky departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness. She will be profoundly missed by her family, including her aunt, Alberrta Bogan, her nephews, Curtis Seals and Chris Seals, and her cousins—Charlie Henry, Willie Bogan, and Lawanda Seals Bogan. In addition to her family, Becky had many friends who cherished her and will hold onto her memory.
Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Magdalene Kelly, her twin sister, Beth Seals, and her aunts, Esther Hillman and Ora Lee Butler. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and it is in their shared memories that we find comfort during this time of loss.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. The service will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM. This gathering will celebrate the incredible life Becky led and the immense love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we say goodbye to Becky, let us remember her infectious spirit, her unwavering kindness, and her dedication to those she loved. Her legacy will continue to inspire all of us to care for one another and to uplift our community just as she did. Rest in peace, dear Becky. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
