She owned and operated B & J Bonding Company, a venture that not only demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit but also showcased her unwavering commitment to serving her community. Her career was not just a source of pride for her; it was a testament to her hard work and determination, leaving an indelible mark in the industry.
Bessie was a devoted mother to her two children, Lawanna Hawkins and Willie (Tonya) Harris, whose lives she enriched with her boundless love and support. She found joy in their accomplishments and took pride in being their biggest cheerleader. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
As we remember Bessie, we reflect on her remarkable spirit and the warmth she brought to everyone she encountered. Her laughter, kindness, and wisdom will forever be etched in the hearts of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, followed by interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah at 12:15 PM.
Bessie Stapleton's legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those she has left behind. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
