Born on July 23, 1966, in Augusta, Georgia, Byron's enduring connection to his hometown was evident throughout his life. He graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School, where he laid the foundation for a career marked by skilled craftsmanship and a strong work ethic.
Byron's profession as an electrician showcased his commitment to excellence, reflecting not only his technical prowess but also his passion for helping others. His work and dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
His legacy continues through his surviving family members, including his sisters Treon Ferguson Merriweather, Nuvett (Quincy) Postell O'Bryant, Niteika (Raynard) Postell Harrison, and Sandra Johnson-Dialo, as well as his brother Joseph Postell, Jr. Byron's close relationships with his siblings were an important aspect of his life, fostering a deep bond that will be remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service honoring Byron's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, beginning at 2:30 PM at the First Dayspring Baptist Church, located at 2170 Greene St, Augusta, GA 30904. Following the service, interment will take place at Walker Memorial Park, 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901, at 3:45 PM.
