~ HATTIE MAE STALLINGS OBITUARY ~ Mrs. Hattie Mae Stallings (Gary) was born in Augusta, Ga., on February 21st, 1936 to the late Dandy and Annie Mae Gary (Twiggs). Hattie Mae entered into rest on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at Trinity Hospital. She joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at a young age and has been a faithful member under the current leadership of Reverend Larry Cone. Over the years, Hattie Mae was employed as a cook at several businesses and later retired as a cook from University Hospital. Hattie Mae was initially married to William Odom Sr. (deceased) and out of that marriage they had 2 sons: William Odom Jr. (Augusta, Ga.), Allen Odom (Augusta, Ga.), and 1 daughter, Shirley Ann Murray (Gary; Augusta, Ga.). Later she married Willie James Stallings (deceased; New Ellenton, SC.) and they had 1 son, Willie Javarous Stallings (Augusta, Ga.). She leaves 3 daughter-in-laws, Ann Odom (Foster; Augusta, Ga.), Zebbie Odom (Hobbs; Augusta, Ga.) and Judith Stallings (Banks; Hephzibah, Ga.); 1 son-in-law Leroy Murray (Augusta, Ga.); 8 grandchildren, Latrice Barnes (Augusta, Ga.), Tammy Hobbs (Augusta, Ga.), Winnie Walton (Hobbs; Augusta, Ga.), Kareem Odom (Augusta, Ga.), Kelvin Odom (Augusta, Ga.), Jalisa Stallings (Hephzibah, Ga.), Christopher Stallings (Hephzibah, Ga.), Jessica Stallings (Hephzibah, Ga.); and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga. on Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of services. The interment will follow at Zion Fair Baptist Church in New Ellenton, S.C.
