Throughout his life, Charlie was not only a successful Black entrepreneur but also a dedicated member of various organizations aimed at bettering his community. His involvement with the I.B.P.O.E.F. of W. Elks Lodge and his prestigious role as past Exalted Ruler showcased his commitment to service and leadership. Additionally, his lifetime membership with the NAACP and his founding of the CSRA Business League highlighted his passion for advocating for equality and economic empowerment.
In remembrance of Charlie A. Reid, Sr., a Funeral Service will be held at Bethel AME Church in Augusta on August 8, 1987. The service will be a time to honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
