Dr. Cynthia “Cindy” Maria Coleman was born on February 19, 1966, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Susie Trotty of Augusta, Georgia, and Shed Coleman of Blythe, Georgia. She was the youngest of six children: Vernon Trotty, Robert Lee Trotty, Nathaniel Coleman (deceased), Ruthie Coleman-Langston, and Michelle Coleman-Hernandez.

Cynthia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of seven. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and playing and watching tennis. She was an avid animal lover and shared a special bond with her beloved pet cats.

Educated in the Richmond County School System, Cynthia continued her academic pursuits across several colleges and universities. Her lifelong commitment to learning and helping others led her to earn the distinguished title of Doctor of Psychology.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Susie Trotty and Shed Coleman; her brother, Nathaniel Coleman; and her uncle, Micheal Trotty.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her sisters, Ruthie Coleman-Langston and Michelle Coleman-Hernandez; her brothers, Vernon Trotty and Robert Lee Trotty; her nephew, Ricardo (Tiffany) Coleman Sr.; her uncles, Alexander (June) Trotty and Robert Lee Trotty Sr.; her aunt, Lois (Micheal Trotty) Trotty; her close and devoted friend, Malcolm Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dr. Cynthia Maria Coleman will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, her love of learning, and her compassion for others. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
