Doris Wright

Doris Wright, a beloved member of the Richmond County community and a dedicated head custodian in The Richmond County School System, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on January 5, 1962, in Rocky Ford, Georgia, and was known for his unwavering commitment to work and determined spirit.

Doris’ career as a head custodian was marked by his strong work ethic and passion for creating a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff alike. His presence within the school system was immensely valued, and many will remember him for the care and respect he showed toward the facilities that became a second home to so many children.

Family and friends cherished Doris for his warm heart and infectious laughter. Throughout his life, he made it his mission to uplift those around him, forming countless meaningful connections throughout the years both at work and in his personal life.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Monday, June 2, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM at the same location.
