For over thirty years, Gloria dedicated herself to her career at Macy's, a testament to her unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. But beyond the bustling aisles and retail transactions, Gloria was an anchor in her family and a friend to many. She was known for her warm smile and gentle spirit, traits that endeared her to co-workers and customers alike.

On a fateful day, August 19, 1953, Gloria married Silas Holmes, her high school sweetheart, embarking on a journey filled with love and dedication. Together, they welcomed two sons into the world, Mike and Tony, who were the pride and joy of their lives. Gloria’s final goodbyes will be said during the visitation on January 30, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. The funeral service will take place the following day at 11 AM at Spirit Creek Baptist Church, followed by interment at 12:15 PM to lay her to rest in peace at the same location.
