Gloria W. Walker

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Williams Walker, age 80, of Augusta, Georgia, who entered rest on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital.

Gloria was born on May 4, 1946, to the late Henry Williams and Sarah Jane Williams. She was a proud graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and later enjoyed a dedicated career with Cintas in Augusta, Georgia, from which she retired.

Gloria was united in marriage to Franklin “Frankie Boy” Walker Sr. To this union, two children were born, Franklin “Boogie” Walker Jr. and Claudette W. Walker.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband and daughter, and five siblings, Marion Williams, Margret Williams, Randolph Williams, Julia Williams, and Mac Arthur Williams.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Franklin “Boogie” Walker Jr.; her only surviving sister, Laura Denise Williams; five grandchildren, Shaquana (Ashton) Washington, Shaniqua (Shanrika) Hardeman, Franklin (Kimberly) Myers, Franklin (Anihya) Walker III and Eartez Lattimore; thirteen great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Randy Williams Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and friends.

Gloria’s life was one that touched many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.
