With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we honor the life of Jackqueline “Jackie” Scott, who passed away on July 11, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on December 16, 1963, in Augusta, Jackie’s spirit and warmth touched countless lives throughout her years, leaving a profound legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Jackie was a loving mother, a devoted sister, a caring grandmother, and a steadfast friend. Her journey through life was marked by compassion and an unwavering commitment to her family. She is survived by two deeply cherished sons, Antwone Scott and Listopher Scott, and found immense joy in being grandmother to her grandson, Kevyun Manson. Jackie’s bond with her siblings—Louise Griffin, Estella Harden, Mary Walker, Annette McCaddie, and Barbara Ann Burns—was remarkable. They shared an unbreakable connection, one built on laughter, steadfast support, and shared memories that spanned decades.

Nephew Antwan Mims, along with close friends Velam Curry and Annette Usher, remain among those who held a special place in Jackie’s life, benefitting from her wisdom, warmth, and encouragement. Jackie’s home was always open, her ear ready to listen, and her heart eager to offer comfort. She celebrated the milestones and triumphs of her loved ones just as fervently as she offered strength during difficult times.

As we remember Jackie, we also honor the memory of those who went before her—her father, Samuel "Snake" Scott, Jr., and mother, Mattie Pearl Dorsey Scott, whom Jackie loved dearly. She is now reunited with her brother, Samuel Scott III, her brother James Elam, her sisters Angie Belinda Scott and Rosa Mae Lampkin, and her beloved nephews Benjamin Dorsey, Samson Dorsey, and Rodriques Scott. Their memories live on in the stories shared and the values passed down to all who remain.

Jackie’s journey has come full circle in Augusta, where her life began and where she poured her heart into the community around her. Her resilience, kindness, and capacity for unconditional love are lasting gifts that she leaves with her family and friends. Those who knew Jackie will never forget her infectious laugh, her gentle touch, and her constant encouragement to hold on to hope and faith no matter what life may bring.

The family invites all who loved Jackie to join in a celebration of her life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church, located at 4101 Randall Rd, Dearing, Georgia. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, with interment to take place immediately afterward at Piney Grove Baptist Church.

As we gather to bid farewell to Jackie Scott, we hold fast to the immeasurable love, laughter, and kindness she shared. Her legacy endures in the hearts of all those who were blessed to call her mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
