Jamie Lynn was a man whose presence brought laughter, love, music, and unforgettable memories to all who knew him. Born August 9, 1978 he was a proud native of Augusta, Georgia. Jamie attended Lucy C. Laney High School and carried with him the bold, spirited, and warm-hearted pride of a true Lucy C. Laney Wildcat.

A proud Leo to his core, Jamie embraced life with confidence, loyalty, and strength. He loved hard, lived boldly, and never missed a chance to remind others that being a Leo was simply part of what made him unforgettable.

Jamie found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved the excitement of the racetrack, relaxing days at the beach, listening to music, grilling for family and friends, and spending time with those closest to him. Known for his cooking, his macaroni and cheese became a staple dish that family and friends always looked forward to. Jamie never met a stranger and cherished the lifelong friendships he shared with Rodney (Herb) Heard and Rodrecus (Bubba) Washington. Jamie shared a special bond with his dear friend, Turquoise Horton. Jamie also remained connected to the mother of his children, Nichole (Ricardo) Johnson and treasured the support of Jasman Moses.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Janiya (Will) Golden, Angel Lynn, and Jamie Lynn. He also leaves unforgettable memories to his devoted father, James (Phillis) Lynn, Jr. He also leaves behind his faithful and beloved sisters Lisa (Raymond) Godbee and Aamia Bennett. He also leaves behind his loving and treasured brothers Keith Godbee, Jayden Bennett, and Traeshaun Walker. He also leaves behind his adored niece Jelisa (Jabier) Washington, Payton Grandstaff, and Zyquayla (Zamarion) Grandstaff.

He is survived by his aunts Ruby Gavin, Marshie Handereson, Forestine Walker, Linda Smiley, Gloria Lynn, Katherine Lynn, Marvis Diggs, Annie (Harvey) Parris, Earnestine Howard, Lucille Howard, and supportive cousin, Gwendolyn () Sampson, whom he regarded as an aunt. He is also survived by his uncle's Ronald Lynn, Walter Howard, James (Jerald) Howard, SGT (ret.) Leon Howard.

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Godbee, his aunt, Shellie Lynn, his uncle's Willie Lawrence Lynn, Reggie L Howard, Jr., Frank E. Howard, Sr., James Diggs, his cousin, Briana Howard, and his nephew Raymond Hurst Jr.
