Jaquavious Rodriques Watkins, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world on May 21, 2025, in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on January 5, 1999, Jaquavious carried the spirit of joy and harmony throughout his life. His passion for music blossomed early when he played the cymbal in his school band, a role that perfectly showcased his rhythm and dedication.
Jaquavious's journey through education began at Cross Creek High School, where he nurtured his academic aspirations before graduating from the Performance Learning Center. His educational pursuits were paralleled by his industrious spirit, as he later worked at the Ferrero Company as a packer, contributing to a legacy of hard work and perseverance.
He was deeply cherished by his devoted mother, Natasha Watkins Hatcher, who nurtured his talents and supported him unconditionally. Jaquavious was a loving brother to Jaquez Watkins, Ricardo Wright, Jr., and Ri'Asia Wright, with whom he shared countless joyful memories and laughter. He was also a treasured grandchild, leaving behind fond memories with his grandparents: Jaqueline Blockett, Debra Walker, and Cannonball Moore.
Jaquavious's extended family enriched his life. He is remembered by a close-knit circle of relatives, including his aunts Takeley Clark, Rabiyyah Tyler, Lakeisha Walker, and Tameka Walker, as well as uncles Rodriquez Watkins and Melvin Tyler, and uncle Timothy Walker. Their love and camaraderie brought light into his life, creating bonds that will endure beyond his passing.
Though Jaquavious was preceded in death by his grandmother Carrie Mae Hankerson and grandfather Clearance Blockett III, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. He touched many lives with his caring nature and vibrant spirit, leaving an indelible mark on family and friends alike.
The celebration of Jaquavious's life will take place at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 4:30 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember a remarkable young man who brought love, laughter, and music into the lives of all who knew him. His memory will continue to resonate in each heart he touched.
