Jaquez Deonte’ Watkins, 24, a native of Augusta, Georgia, was born on March 25, 2002, to Natasha Watkins Hatcher and Robert Nelson. Jaquez entered into rest on April 29, 2026.

Jaquez attended Cross Creek High School and attended R.P.M. He enjoyed making music, playing basketball, and hanging with his friends. He worked for Ferrero Company as a Packer.

Jaquez was preceded in death by: brother, Jaquavious Watkins; great-grandmother, Carrie Mae Hankerson, and Sally Watkins; grandfather, Robert Lee Levelt, Jr., Walter K. Ragland and Clearance Blockett, III.

Jaquea leaves to cherish his memories: devoted mother, Natasha Watkins Hatcher (Jerome Hatcher); father, Robert Nelson; seven siblings, Ricardo Wright, Jr., RiAsia Wright, Zaviez Wins, Zyaire Wins, Camille Nelson, Cortlynn Nelson, and Seraelle Nelson; grandparents, Jacqueline Blockett, Darlene Nelson Ragland, and Melvin Tyler; great-grandmother, Sara O’Bryant; aunts and uncles, Rodriguez Watkins, Tareley Clark, Shanetta Nelson, Constance Small, Quzia Small, Rodriguex Nelson, and Quanterius Nelson; two special aunts, Nora Clinton (Victor Clinton), Sharon Wallace, Lorenzo Lowmack, LV Lowmack, Jr., and Eric Lowmack; two special uncles, Melvin Tyler (Rabiyyah Tyler), Claudriquez Nelson; special girlfriend who held a special place in his heart, My’asica Mackie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
