Jeffery Earl Watson

Jeffery Earl Watson, 63, of Augusta, GA, sadly passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

"Jeff" was born on September 11, 1962 in Augusta, GA at University Hospital; born to parents William "Bill" and Lorraine Watson.

Jeff's life from the start was centered and focused on his worship to Jehovah God, which was instilled in him by his parents, Bill and Lorraine, from birth. He dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized on April 10, 1977 at 15 years old. Because of his love for God, his spiritual brothers and sisters, and mankind as a whole, Jeff set a goal to engage in full-time service to Jehovah God. As soon as he was of age, he applied for volunteer work at the Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn, New York. He was accepted to work at the headquarters, also known as "Bethel", in January 1982. Jeff was able to enjoy and benefit spiritually for 6 years of volunteer service at Bethel while also gaining many mentors and life-long friends. In 1988, he left Bethel service, married in May of 1988 and moved backed to his hometown in Augusta, GA.

Jeff is survived by his father Bill (wife Barbara) Watson; his sister Kimberly (husband Donald) Scott; his daughter Lauren Weston; and his two grandchildren, Maya and Ronan Weston; and his ex-wife Jo Nell Glass. As well as his paternal uncles, Robert "Bobby" Watson (wife Brenda-deceased), James "Jim" Watson (wife Elizabeth-deceased) and a paternal aunt Betty Watson (husband Carl-deceased); and a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lorraine Watson, his maternal aunts, Bernice Hillary and Minnie Turner; his paternal aunt, Mary (husband Heladios) Watson-Castenada, paternal uncles, Carl Watson (wife Betty and Tommy Watson.

Memorial services for Jeff Watson will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses,

1990 Highland Ave, Augusta, GA 30904 on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
