John Harrell Faircloth

Warner Robins – John Harrell Faircloth, 85, entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2023.

John was born on November 25, 1937, in Kings Mountain, North Carolina to the late Larry and Nina Faircloth. He graduated from Dodge County High School and went on to meet and marry his wife, Shirley, on Christmas Day of 1959. Together, John and Shirley moved to Augusta in 1966 where they would raise their family and spent the next 57 years before relocating to Warner Robins. He worked as a civil servant at Fort Gordon where he would retire; after his retirement, he joined the staff of Midland Valley Community Church of The Nazarene in 1991 and in 2000, he was ordained as a deacon. He served in the South Carolina District of The Church of The Nazarene. In his free time, he loved classic cars, especially Oldsmobiles and Fords.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Reba, Melinda, and Barbara.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Faircloth; children, Wanda Holland (Franklin) of Bonaire, Timothy Faircloth of Jacksonville, and David Faircloth of Augusta; grandchildren, Jayson Holland (Tena), Tyler Holland, Rachel McCain (Mark), Rebecca Faircloth, Brittany Tarakji (Mark), Alex Faircloth (Alex), Katie Faircloth, and Olivia Faircloth; sister, Jennie Huckaby (Marshall); along with four great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Midland Valley Community Church of The Nazarene. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.
