Joseph Smith

Joseph Smith, born on June 9, 1958, in Aiken County, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Jackson, South Carolina. His journey through life was marked by a profound love for family and friends, a spirit of resilience, and a warmth that touched everyone he encountered.

Joseph was a man of great kindness and compassion, whose laughter could brighten even the darkest days. He had an innate ability to connect with others, offering a listening ear and words of encouragement. Joseph’s legacy is one of love and support, manifesting in his countless acts of service to those around him. 

In celebration of his life, family and friends are invited to share their memories and pay their respects. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. The following day, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM.

Joseph’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for the joy he brought to life and the love he shared so freely. May his memory serve as a reminder to cherish each moment with our loved ones and to extend kindness whenever possible.
