Kathryn Wynn Williams

Kathryn Wynn Williams, age 71, was born on January 7, 1955, and passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 9, 2026.

Kathryn grew up in a loving family alongside her siblings. She cherished her upbringing in downtown Augusta, GA, on 7th Street, where she began to forge the many lasting friendships that would accompany her throughout her life. Kathryn graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1973. In that same year, she was married and had her only child, Carlos D. Williams. She then attended Paine College. During her time there, she was crowned Little Miss Muffin, a popular children's community pageant and fundraising event, showcasing her grace and charm. Her career began at the Medical College of Georgia, but she devoted over 30 years of her life to her father's business, Wynn Plumbing, before retiring after several years of dedicated service with Unity of Augusta.

Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, Henry Ashley Wynn and Mary Daniel Wynn, her brother Charles Holman, and her sisters Pamela Wynn, Cassandra Jones, and Melinda Robinson. 

Kathryn was a devoted member of Moses Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Kathryn was a woman of faith who found great joy in serving her community. She loved to travel, often accompanied by her family and friends, creating countless memories and sharing adventures that remain cherished by all who joined her.

 Kathryn leaves behind her spouse, Earch Leon Williams, and her son, Carlos (Cynthia) Williams; her four grandchildren: Antonio (Jessica) Morris, Carlos Williams Jr., DeVonte' Williams, and Devon Williams; one granddaughter, Destiny Williams; and a great-granddaughter, Alauna Morris, an aunt, Jesse Mae Wynn Warner; sisters Gwendolyn (Albert) Singletary, Paulette Wynn, and Beverly (Michael) Bell; her cousin, Isaac (Lydia) McKinney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
