Kelvin Thompkins, Sr.

In loving memory of Kelvin Thompkins, Sr., who was born on May 5, 1978, in Augusta, Georgia, and departed this life on October 19, 2025, in the same cherished city. Kelvin was a devoted family man, known for his hard work and dedication to his job at Chik-Fil-A in Edgefield, South Carolina. He approached life with a steadfast commitment to providing for his loved ones, which exemplified his character as a nurturing husband and father.

Kelvin was an attended Butler High School, where he laid the foundation for his future. His work ethic and determination were qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. Beyond his professional pursuits, he was deeply connected to his family and friends, creating bonds that fostered love and support throughout his life.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kylstra Thompkins; his cherished children, Kyeisha Thompkins, Kelvin Thompkins, Jr., Keldric Thompkins, and Kayden Thompkins; and his treasured grandson, Makarree Heath. Kelvin is also survived by his mother, Vivian Thompkins; his brother, Kenneth Thompkins; and his nephews and nieces, Sean Thompkins, Jeanna Gonder, and Toria Williams, alongside aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

Kelvin is preceded in death by his father, Willard Thompkins, and his brother, Ronald Thompkins. Their memories, along with his unwavering spirit, will remain a source of strength and comfort to those he has left behind.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. A graveside service will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Walker Memorial Park, 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA. All who knew and loved Kelvin are welcome to attend as we gather to honor and celebrate his life.
