Kenji Lavar Gross Sr. was born in Augusta, Ga, to Mavid and Joseph Gross on August 7, 1979. He was preceded in death by his devoted Grandfather Jessie Jackson Sr. and his sister Cheyenne Johnson. Educated in Richmond County School System, he is a proud graduate of Richmond Academy and Augusta Technical College. He was a dedicated employee of Westover Memorial Park and Walmart.
Kenji was a beautiful person inside and out. He accepted Christ at a young age and was very adamant about his salvation. Even with life’s challenges he never gave up on the God he believed in. His personality was so bright that it would light up the entire room. He cared deeply for the people around him. He was kind, passionate, and one of the most blunt and straight forward people you could ever meet. He made an impact on many lives. Kenji's legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Kenji is survived by his mother Mavid Johnson, his dad Arthur Johnson, his father Joseph Gross (Monica), a devoted grandmother Bessie Jackson, his children Isaiah Gross, Kenley Gross, and Kenji Gross Jr. , his siblings;[‘ Gybrille Jackson (Mashonda), Lorraine Germany, Ayesha Gross, Shiquita Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Javacia Parks, Deborah Johnson, and Benjamin Johnson. A godbrother; Charles Booker, His Fiancé; Artesia Mobley, and a host of God Children, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and sorrowing friends.
