Larry Harris

Larry Harris 3/28/1949 – 1/22/2026

Larry was born to the late Lula Mae Hunter and the late Willie Harris. He attended Lucy Laney High School and then entered Payne College, where he played basketball. He never met a stranger, and made friends with every person he met (especially the ladies). He loved his children and his grandchildren with all his heart. Larry was a kind soul in every sense. He was loving and carried himself with quiet strength. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought light, and his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched through his caring, his kindness and his unwavering heart. He is survived by his children, Reggie Harris, Larry Harris, Mandrell Harris (Takila), Tony Neely, Shondala Harris-Cabbagestalk (Anthony), and Brooklyn Harris; his brother, Dennis Harris, his sisters Connie Reamey-Elder and Sheryl Cooney (Barry); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.
