For many years, she served as a Patient Admission Specialist with the Veterans Administration Hospital, where her unwavering dedication made a significant impact on countless lives. Lizzie's commitment to helping others was matched only by her nurturing spirit as a devoted wife and mother. She filled her home with warmth, teaching her children to embrace kindness and resilience.
Lizzie shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Lloyd Walton, Sr., who predeceased her, along with their son, Lloyd Walton, Jr. Although they are no longer with her, their memories remain alive in the hearts of her family.
A luminary of joy, she found comfort in the simple pleasures of life. Lizzie had a passion for fishing, playing softball, gardening, and cooking, all of which reflected her vibrant and spirited personality. Her family often gathered around the dinner table to share laughter and love, celebrating her delicious meals and the bonds they shared.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce Stallings, Bruce Walton, and Annette Burgess, and Keith Walton. Together they will carry forth her legacy of kindness, advocacy, and encouragement.
The community will gather to celebrate Lizzie's remarkable life during a funeral service on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 1223 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share stories of a life so beautifully lived.
