Lonnie Thomas, a cherished member of the Augusta community, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on September 6, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia, Lonnie lived his entire life in the city he loved, where he formed deep connections and left an indelible mark on those around him.

Lonnie was known for his warm spirit and unwavering kindness, traits that endeared him to family, friends, and acquaintances alike. His passion for life was evident in all that he pursued, whether in his personal interests or in the relationships he cultivated. A devoted friend and neighbor, he was often the first to lend a helping hand, offering support and companionship to those in need.

A visitation will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location, concluding with interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery on January 10, 2026, at 12:15 PM.
