Lucille Little McGee

Ms. Lucille Little McGee was born on October 23, 1961, to the late Mr. Earnest McGee and Mrs. Louise Little Crawford. On the evening of August 26, 2026. Lucille peacefully departed this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, service, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

At an early age, Lucille accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, where she faithfully served the Lord and worked in various ministries and capacities within the church. Later in life, she joined Glorious Praise Worship Center, where she continued her dedication to God through faithful service in numerous roles. Her faith remained an important foundation throughout her life.

Lucille was a proud graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School, Class of 1979. During her high school years, she proudly led her schools Majorette Team (fire baton twirler), a role that reflected the confidence, energy, and vibrant spirit she carried throughout her life.

Following high school, Lucille began her professional career in education, working with students with learning and behavioral disabilities at Sue Reynolds Elementary School.

Her heart for service eventually led her to pursue a career within the judicial and law enforcement fields. Throughout her career, Lucille served her community in several capacities. including as a Deputy Clerk of Court, Jailer, and Correctional Officer in Richmond County. Her dedication. professionalism, and commitment to serving others earned her numerous awards, accolades, and recognitions throughout her career.

Lucille was a woman of strength and determination who devoted much of her life to serving others. Yet, among all of her accomplishments, her greatest joy and most treasured legacy was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother. great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence touched countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Louise Little Crawford and Mr. Earnest McGee: her sisters, Mrs. Annabelle Williams, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Little Parker, Mrs. Mamie Dolphus, Ms. Julia Little, and Mrs. Ernestine Dolphus Howard: her brothers, Mr. Eddie Willie Little and Mr. J.W. Little: and a very special and loving nephew, Mr. Jermaine Little.

Lucille leaves to cherish her precious memories three loving daughters. Ms. Taianna McGee. Ms. Keisha Jenkins, and Ms. Jalisa Little, all of Augusta, Georgia: one brother, Mr. Michael (Pamela) McGee, of Mississippi; eight grandchildren. Jamir and Jaeda Roary, B-Kai Speaks. Kha-Dai and Da-Rykei Gibson, Cordae' Jones, Collin and Colsen Hull and one great-grandson. Kaion Donald. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, July Little. Keneath Parker. Denise Williams, and Gwendolyn Williams: nephews. Jakota Little, Roger Williams Jr., Damon Parker, Desmond Parker, and Kenneth Parker; along with a host of other beloved relatives, extended family members, church family, former colleagues, and dear friends.

Though Lucille's earthly journey has ended, the life she lived speaks for her. Her faith, her years of service, her strength. and most importantly, the love she poured into her family will. continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Her work on earth is complete, but her love and legacy will live on forever.
