With heartfelt sorrow and deep remembrance, we announce the passing of Marjorie Wilson, whose gentle spirit departed this world on June 30, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on November 19, 1944, in Augusta, Marjorie’s life was closely interwoven with the community she called home—a community she cherished and served with quiet devotion.
Marjorie’s journey through life was marked by dedication and humility, qualities most profoundly expressed through her years working in transportation at The Charlotte Airport. In this role, she was known for her kindness and reliability, quietly supporting the bustle of travel and transition that connected so many lives. Her steady presence was a comfort not only to those who worked alongside her but also to countless travelers who benefited, perhaps unknowingly, from her effort and care.
Though the details of her family and personal milestones remain her own, Marjorie will be remembered for the warmth she extended to those around her and the dignity with which she carried herself. Her steadfast work in transportation was a testament to her strong sense of responsibility and her wish to be part of something larger than herself. Through her everyday actions, she left a subtle yet lasting mark on those fortunate enough to cross her path.
Marjorie’s life will be honored during a graveside service at Walker Memorial Park, located at 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901. The service will take place on July 7, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Friends, acquaintances, and anyone whose life was touched by Marjorie are invited to pay their respects and celebrate her legacy.
As we say goodbye to Marjorie Wilson, we hold dear the memories of her dedication, her kindness, and the enduring grace with which she illuminated her corner of the world. May she rest in peace, remembered always in the hearts of those whom her gentle spirit touched.
