Mattie B. Goodwin

Mattie Bell Allen Goodwin was born on September 17, 1950, a cherished gift to Nathaniel (Fannie Thomas) Allen. She peacefully entered eternal rest on December 18, 2025, reunited in glory with God and her parents.

Mattie was a woman of deep love and open arms. She was not only a sister, mother, and grandmother by blood, but also to all who needed one. Her home and heart were always open, and her nurturing spirit left a lasting imprint on everyone she encountered.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory three loving sisters: Fannie Coatney, Hattie Dewitt, and Kathy Jordan; two devoted children, Anjanette (Troy) Wheeler and Antonio Goodwin; and her beloved grandchildren: Justin Wheeler, Anejanetta Allen, April Allen, Semaj Wheeler, Antonio Allen, Sania Wheeler, Kimora Hartfield, Sava Wheeler, Kaylon Goodwin, Troi Wheeler, and Jaquay Wheeler, all of Augusta, Georgia. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Mattie’s legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on through generations.
