Mattie Lou Lyons

As the sun sets on the life of Mattie Lou Lyons, we reflect on the journey of a remarkable soul who touched the lives of many. Mattie, a retired CNA at Georgia Regional, dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and grace. Born on March 14, 1958, in Tennessee, she brought warmth and kindness wherever she went.

On July 7, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia, Mattie left this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness She will be dearly missed by all who her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she cared for and those whose lives she enriched.

Mattie is survived by her loving daughter, Connie Lyons. In this time of grief, may Connie find solace in the cherished moments shared with her beloved mother.

The visitation to honor Mattie's life will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Friday, July 19, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at the same location. The final farewell will be held during the burial service at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hephzibah immediately following the services.

In our hearts, Mattie's kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us. May she rest in peace knowing that her love endures beyond the boundaries of this life.
