Michael Lamb

1958 — August 17, 2025

Augusta, Georgia

Michael Lamb, a cherished son of Augusta, Georgia, was born on July 29, 1958. He departed from this world on August 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and a remarkable dedication to his work and community.

A proud graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School, class of 1978, Michael went on to spend an impressive 40 years of his life dedicated to the Southern Beverage Packing Company, where he was respected and admired by colleagues for his unwavering commitment and strong work ethic. His contributions were not only a testament to his character but also a reflection of his deep-rooted values that he carried with him throughout his life.

Baptized at an early age at Liberty Baptist Church in Augusta, Michael embraced the teachings of kindness and compassion, virtues that became the cornerstones of his life. He was known for his infectious smile, his warm personality, and a heart that was bigger than most.

Michael was a beloved sibling, leaving behind Eddie C. (Willie) Walker, Wilfred Cummings, Georgia Lamb, and his baby sister, Carol Lamb. The bond shared with his family was one that those who knew him understood deeply; he was not just a brother but a confidant and a source of unwavering support. Michael also leaves behind an extensive family, including aunt Lillie C. Alexander, nephews Keith (Tammy) Walker, Sr., J.T. Brakins, Joseph (Jessica) Green, Rodriquez Walker, Donavon Geiger, Desmond Lamb, and niece Jasmine Byanka Brittany Geiger. His circle was enriched further by friends who became family, including Mary Ann (James) McCladdie, Marie Williams, and Danielle, as well as a host of cousins, friends, and brothers from the neighborhood who cherished the memories they made with him.

His passing is not just a loss for his family but a significant gap in the lives of communities he touched. The essence of Michael will be honored and celebrated during the visitation scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext, Augusta, GA. Following this gathering, a funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:30 PM, also at the same location. Friends and loved ones will then proceed to Walker Memorial Park for interment at 3:45 PM, where he will be laid to rest surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of those who knew him.

As his family reflects on the life of Michael Lamb, they remember him not only for the person he was but for the profound impact he had on the hearts of many. He will be sorely missed, remembered fondly, and forever held dear in the memories and stories that will echo through the lives he touched.
