Mrs. Mildred Boggs Vaughn, of East Taylor Street, Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 100, born on October 4, 1925, in Blythe, Georgia. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy and of the Lamar School of Nursing where she began a lifelong commitment to caring for others. She retired from the VA Medical Center as a registered nurse after 30 years of dedicated service.
Mrs. Vaughn, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Sweetie Mae Hilton and Herbert Boggs. She is survived by two sons, Charles (and Lori) Vaughn, North Augusta, SC, and Greg (and Donna), Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren: Briana, Isaac, Ethan Vaughn; special grandchild: Brittany Johnson; sisters: Patricia Bunch and Gloria Brooks (West Palm Beach, FL); Claressa Potts (Huntsville, AL); Theresa Miller (Cleveland, OH); aunts: Mrs. Delma Brooks (Augusta, GA); Mrs. Elinora Boggs (Suffolk, VA); sisters-in-law: Mrs. Mary Jozick; Mrs. Margaret Vaughn (New Jersey); Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson (Fort Gaines, GA); Ms. Cora Vaughn (Abbeville, AL); brother-in-law: Hubert Vaughn (Abbeville, AL); and devoted Cousin: Mrs. Minnie Pearl Johnson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who truly embodied the spirit of giving.
