Nina Mae Thomas, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023, in Augusta, GA. She was born on March 23, 1940, in Waynesboro, GA. Nina's departure has left a deep void in the hearts of her loved ones and the community she called home.
Nina's life will be mourned and celebrated during a series of events that have been planned to honor her memory. The first event, a visitation service, will take place at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. This will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather together and pay their final respects to Nina.
The second event is the Funeral Service which will be held at D'Antignac Street Church of Christ situated at 1002 D'Antignac St, Augusta, GA 30901 on Thursday, September 28, 2023. The service will begin promptly at 11:00 AM. It is during this time that Nina's loved ones will come together to reminisce about her life and find solace in their shared memories.
Following the Funeral Service, a solemn burial ceremony will be conducted at Cedar Grove Cemetery located at 120 Watkins St., Augusta, GA 30901. The Burial will take place immediately after the Funeral Service starting at approximately 12:15 PM on September 28th.
Throughout her life journey, Nina touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion. She had an innate ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her warm smile would light up a room, and her words of wisdom were always profound and comforting. Nina was admired for her unwavering strength and her ability to face life's challenges with grace.
In addition to being an exceptional friend, Nina was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in their accomplishments and milestones. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
The legacy of Nina Mae Thomas is one of love, kindness, and selflessness.
