Oliver (Bookie) Dixon Jr. son of Pauline Jackson Dixon and Oliver Dixon El was born on October 17, 1974, in Aiken, SC. He departed his life on Friday, December 19, 2025, in New Ellenton, SC. Oliver Dixon Jr. attended various schools in New Ellenton, SC; Greendale Elementary, New Ellenton Middle and Silver Bluff High School.
Oliver had a deep love for old-school cars, especially classics that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and timeless style. Music was always part of his world—he enjoyed West Coast and Down South sounds, which set the tone for many good memories shared with family and friends. He loved working outdoors and took pride in his work as a landscape employee for many years at SRS.
Oliver was loving, caring and full of life. Always down to having a good time and had a natural gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to any room he entered. He never hesitated to help others and was a true friend to many, always showing up when it mattered. Family and friends meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved. His presence will be missed and forever remembered.
Oliver is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie Dixon Sr., Mary A. Dixon, Paul Jackson and Virginia Jackson Clark; and his uncles Willie (Dickie) Dixon and Howard Jackson and aunt Josephine Dixon. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents, Pauline Jackson Dixon and Oliver Dixon El, his children, Breon Brown, Jayla Brown, Trenay Brown, Marquise( (Jo Jo) Dixon and Jeremiah Black, grandchildren, Chosen Brown, Ah’Zurie Brown and Ja’Zara Brown, two sisters, Tonya Dixon and Kasey Dixon, and a host of aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, cousins, and dearly loved friends.
