Paul Bates

Paul Bates, born on July 19, 1950, in Withlacoochee, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia. He lived a full and meaningful life, having reached the status of a beloved member of his community.

After dedicating many years to his career, Paul embraced his retirement, a time he cherished for the opportunities it provided him to spend more time with loved ones and to pursue personal interests and passions. Throughout his life, he was known not only for his work ethic but also for his kindness and generosity, making a lasting impression on those around him.

Paul is remembered with love by his wife, Eva Mae Williams-Bates. Their partnership was marked by mutual respect and a deep connection, which brought joy to their lives together.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, Georgia. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home. Following the service, Paul will be interred at Walker Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest at 12:15 PM.

Paul's spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be missed dearly, and his memory cherished forever.
