Porsha Ward Peeples was born on September 11, 1971, in Augusta, Georgia, to Mose and Suzetta Ward. At an early age, she moved with her family to Miami, Florida, where she was raised until the age of nine. Her family later returned to Augusta, Georgia, where she continued her education and built a life centered on faith, family, and service.
Porsha attended Lucy C. Laney High School, where she met Fernando Peeples. Their union was blessed with three children: Fernando Marcel Peeples, Clarise Jeanette Jackson, and Courtney Gabrielle Miranda Mallett Ward.
Dedicated to helping others, Porsha attended Aiken Technical College, where she earned her credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She devoted her career to serving and caring for others with compassion, patience, and kindness. Nursing was more than a profession for Porsha-it was a reflection of her loving and selfless spirit. Whether caring for patients, supporting family members, or encouraging friends, she always placed the needs of others before her own. Her heart for service and her willingness to help anyone in need touched countless lives.
Porsha was a devoted member of the United House of Prayer for All People under the leadership of Precious Daddy McCollough, where she received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Throughout her years of service, she faithfully participated in numerous groups and auxiliaries, including the Joy Ensemble, Fantastic Marching Blue, Helping Hands, the National Choir of the United House of Prayer, a group that assisted members traveling throughout the organization, and the New Jerusalem Sounds. Her dedication, faithfulness, and love for God's work left a lasting impression on all who served alongside her.
Porsha's life was a reflection of love, strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. She touched countless lives through her generosity, caring spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. Her beautiful smile, nurturing nature, and words of wisdom will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
On June 17, 2026, Porsha peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Dewayne Tillman; her beloved aunt, Connie Perry; her grandparents, Mose Sr. and Susie Ann Ward, Handy and Louise Allen and cherished family members, Mary Allen and Gracie Allen Ward.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children, Fernando Marcel Peeples, Clarise Jeanette Jackson, and Courtney Gabrielle Miranda Mallett Ward; her cherished grandchildren, Dyani Alijah Jackson, Zihyonna Peeples, Gabrielle Annita Jeanette Peeples, Amari Aurae Jackson, Fernando Peeples, Jr., Bryce Fernando Ward, and Jade Nasira Blocker; her devoted parents, Mose and Suzetta Ward; her beloved siblings, Keith and Anita Morris, Ustaycia and Walter Allen-McGee, Delona and Darcel Brown, and Lekeysha and Ellis Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, loved ones, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. May her legacy of faith, compassion, and love continue to live on in all whose lives she touched
