Rodriques Duane Stokes

1995 — 2025

Harriman, TN

It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Rodriques Duane Stokes, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. Born on August 12, 1995, in Augusta, Georgia, Rodriques departed this life on April 17, 2025, in Powell, Tennessee, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love, dedication, and faith.

Rodriques’s journey was marked by his steadfast commitment to his work and family. After graduating from T.W. Josey High School in 2014, he devoted many years to driving forklift at Holsten and Gases in Tennessee. His dedication and hard work served as a testament to his integrity and work ethic. But beyond the workplace, Rodriques’s life shone even brighter in spirit and devotion. He gave his life to Christ on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Faith Promise in Clinton, Tennessee—a powerful moment reflecting his deep and enduring faith.

He was a loving and devoted father to his children, Royal and Ryleigh Stokes, who, along with their siblings and extended family, were the center of his world. His family also included his loving mother, Tasha Stokes-Harris, and stepfather, David Harris, who stood by him through every chapter. Rodriques’s heart extended warmly to his bonus children—Ky'rianna, La'Nyah, La'Mani, and Jay'ceon—and to his godson, Braylen Williams. His siblings—Dashiana Harris, Tanasia Sampson, Quendarius Stokes, Nasir Stokes, LaDavid Williams, and Lathaniel Harris, Jr.—along with his grandmother Mary Stokes, aunts Trina Wannamaker and Tawania Stokes, uncles Robert Hawkins and Clarence Hawkins, nieces Daysha Harris and Dai'yhonna Stokes, best friend Vaughn Green, and special friend Shyette Greene carry his memory close within their hearts.

Throughout his life, Rodriques was deeply loved and respected not only by those who remain but also mourned by those who have gone before him, including his uncles Albert Hawkins and Patrick Hawkins, his aunts Tamara Stokes, Betty Hawkins, and Anie Hodges. Their memories weave into the fabric of his life story, a reminder of family bonds that transcend time.

Rodriques Duane Stokes’s passing leaves a void that words can scarcely fill. Yet, in the midst of this profound loss, his unwavering faith, the lives he touched, and the love he so freely gave continue to inspire all who knew him. We hold tightly to the hope and comfort gifted by his spiritual journey—a beacon of light that never fades.

As we say goodbye, we remember Rodriques not just for the years he lived, but for the depth of his kindness, the strength of his character, and the warmth of his spirit. His story will forever remain in our hearts, a touching tribute to a life beautifully lived and dearly missed.
