Grovetown, Georgia

Sadie LaTaunya Garnett, born on April 7, 1979, in Augusta, Georgia, was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose spirit touched the hearts of many. She departed this world on June 13, 2025, in Covington, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished.

Sadie's journey through life was marked by her deep faith. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church in Evans, Georgia. This foundation of spirituality guided her actions and attitudes, allowing her to embody compassion and warmth in every interaction. Described as a "Jill of all trades," she was a source of creativity, comfort, and support to those fortunate enough to know her. Her special greeting when answering the phone, "House of beauty, this is cutie," reflected her playful nature and ability to brighten anyone's day.

Educated at T.W. Josey High School, Sadie carried her unique flair into all aspects of her life. Those who were close to her experienced not just her unwavering concern for their well-being, but also her generous spirit that sought to uplift others. She had an innate ability to listen and offer hand in times of need, making her a beloved figure in the lives of many.

Sadie leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward. Her father, Tyrone (Patty) Garnett, Sr., her brother Tyrone (Castara) Garnett, Jr., and her brother Zarius Garnett, along with her sister Chrissy (Michael) Clark, will forever hold her spirit in their hearts. She also cherished her aunt, Lurena Bennefield, and uncles Ricky (Marilyn) Dent and John (Doris) Parks, who all shared in the love and laughter of family gatherings. A doting aunt, she is survived by her niece Imani Garnett, her nieces Naqwana and Tyshala Garnett, and a host of nephews including Jamal (Ebonie) Garnett, Michael Garnett, Sr., Angelo Gill, Joseph Gill, Cartrell Garnett, and Desmond Holmes. The cherished bonds she created will resonate through her loved ones for generations to come.

In addition to her loving family, Sadie has an extended family, including Travares (Latisha) Mack, and a host of other relatives and friends who admired her zest for life and are left with treasured memories of their time together.

Sadie's absence is acutely felt, particularly by those who mourn the loss of her mother, Lois L. Dent, and her brother, Desmond T. Garnett, both of whom preceded her in death. They welcomed her with open arms, and together they will find peace.
