Shaneatha Y. Collier, born on December 31, 1973, in Augusta, Georgia, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2026, in her beloved hometown. A cherished soul, Shaneatha devoted much of her life to caring for others, working as a Medical Assistant at Gracewood Community Center, where her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on many.
Shaneatha was more than a healthcare professional; she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and strength created an unbreakable bond within her family—bonds that will forever hold her memory alive.
Her journey was marked by love and nurturance, seen most profoundly through her devoted role in her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sonyte Collier and Kaeyana Collier, who carry forward her courageous spirit and boundless love. Her legacy flourishes in the hearts of her grandchildren: JaCorey Collier, Jayceon Collier, Jaxton Collier, and Bliss Manning. Each grandchild holds a precious place in her story, a living testament to her enduring affection.
Shaneatha’s own roots were deeply entwined with her family. She leaves behind her mother, Daisy Collier-Benning, whose steadfast presence supported Shaneatha through life's challenges and triumphs. Among her extended family, Shaneatha was adored by her sisters, Charvette Collier-Curry and Natausha Collier, her niece, Ebony Collier, and nephews Chase Curry and Charleston Curry, and god sister, Alvinetae Nelson, who will miss her guiding warmth and gentle guidance.
Her father, James Lee Collier, preceded her in death, yet his memory lives on in the family they both helped shape with love and courage.
A memorial service to celebrate Shaneatha’s life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Canaan-Galilee Baptist Church, located at 5830 Clarks Hill Rd, Appling, GA 30802. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM, inviting all who knew her to come together in remembrance and gratitude.
Shaneatha Y. Collier’s life was a beautiful mosaic of care, devotion, and love. Though she has departed from our sight, her spirit remains vibrant, alive in the stories shared and in the countless hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered as a beacon of love and strength to her family and community.
