Sheala Lavern Thomas, a compassionate and kind soul, whose warmth and nurturing spirit touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Sheala was born on July 28, 1955, in Augusta, and it was there that she cultivated a life rich with love, laughter, and an unwavering belief in living life to the fullest.
Known for her vivacious personality, Sheala was no stranger to having fun. Her laughter could light up a room, often bringing smiles to faces that needed it the most. Through her thoughtful and generous nature, she forged deep connections that will last well beyond her time on earth. Sheala had an innate ability to make each person feel special; her compassion knew no bounds, making her a cherished friend to many.
Sheala is survived by her loving siblings: Charles (Gloria) Patterson, Raymond (Lucy) Patterson, Gloria Thomas Jones, Kenneth Thomas, and Larry Thomas. In addition to her siblings, she leaves behind a loving circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will deeply miss her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought into their lives.
Sheala's legacy lives on in the countless memories shared with those who were fortunate to know her. Though she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother, her generous heart will continue to resonate in the stories and lives she touched.
