Sheala Lavern Thomas, a compassionate and kind soul, whose warmth and nurturing spirit touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Sheala was born on July 28, 1955, in Augusta, and it was there that she cultivated a life rich with love, laughter, and an unwavering belief in living life to the fullest.

Known for her vivacious personality, Sheala was no stranger to having fun. Her laughter could light up a room, often bringing smiles to faces that needed it the most. Through her thoughtful and generous nature, she forged deep connections that will last well beyond her time on earth. Sheala is survived by her loving siblings: Charles (Gloria) Patterson, Raymond (Lucy) Patterson, Gloria Thomas Jones, Kenneth Thomas, and Larry Thomas.
