Sherrod Marcus Hobbs, born January 24, 1981, in Augusta, Georgia, passed away on July 21, 2026, at his birthplace of Augusta. Sherrod was known as a sweet, loving person who truly loved everyone he met and was cherished for his great laugh and warm, radiant smile. Those who knew him will remember the joy he brought into their lives and the kindness that guided his every action.

Sherrod's family formed the foundation of his life, and he was treasured as a beloved brother, grandson, cousin, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his sisters, Essie Coleman, Janice Coleman, Myrtis Coleman, Brentiss Bell, Donyelle Bussey, and Johnnie Hobbs; and by his brothers, Steven Coleman, Johnny Coleman, Basile Bussey, Jessie Bell, and Gary Jean Coleman. Two grandfathers, Johnny Boatwright and Edward Hobbs, also survive him. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who were all fortunate to have been included in his life.

Sherrod was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Brenda Germany; his father, Gary Jean Coleman; and his grandmother, Essie Boatwright. Their memories, along with his, will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Sherrod’s legacy is one of warmth, joy, and unwavering affection for all he met. He found happiness in the company of others and was celebrated for his capacity to love deeply and without reservation. His laughter and smile brought comfort and light to any room, creating memories that will endure for years to come.
