Shirley A. House passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on July 21, 1956, in Augusta, Georgia. Raised in a loving family, she accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and was baptized at Gardner Grove Baptist Church, where her faith would guide her throughout her life.

Shirley's career was marked by her dedication to serving others. She attended Augusta Technical College and Tender Care Training Center, proudly earning her credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her professional journey took her to Gracewood and CSRA Private Duty, Inc. With a heart devoted to service, she uplifted many through her unwavering kindness. Those who experienced her care will forever cherish her gentle nature and the love she poured into her work.

In May of 1976, Shirley joined the United States Army, serving faithfully as an Administrative Specialist. Her service to her country showcased her character - strengthened by a desire to contribute positively to the world around her.

Shirley's enduring influence is one of love, compassion, and dedication expressed in her passion for helping people. Among those who survive her and cherish her memory are her beloved nieces, Renauda Willis, Janice (Wallace) Willis Gillam, and Mignon (Keon) Hall, along with her dear aunts, Christine Hammond and Mamie (Kenny) Wilson, and her uncle, Eddie Carter. She is also mourned by her dear cousins, Rita Walker, Dot Jones, Pat brown, Joyce Robinson, Sharon Wilson, Samantha (David) Wilson Hyde, Mary Curry, Frankie Hester, Chantay Britt, and many other relatives who hold dear their time with her. Close to her heart, she formed a deep and cherished bond with Debra Dixon and Brittany Dixon, and she remained close friends with her schoolmate, Pauline Kellar throughout her life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, James Lee Roberson, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Roberson, and her sister, Patsy Lee Willis, who have welcomed her with open arms in eternal peace.

A memorial service honoring Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Gardner Grove Baptist Church, located at 3509 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, Georgia, where friends and family can gather to celebrate her life.

Shirley A. House will be forever remembered as a selfless caregiver, a devoted friend, and a loving family member. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her.
