Stoney Lee Lawson

Mr. Stoney Lee Lawson of Augusta, Georgia transitioned into eternal rest at Select Specialty Hospital on Tuesday February 17, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia.

Stoney was born on September 4, 1959, in Augusta, Georgia. He was a 1977 graduate of T.W. Josey High School. Stoney was employed for over thirty years at Cardinal Health formally known as Kendall Company in Augusta, Georgia. Throughout his life he dedicated time to his photography business, landscaping and working on his cars.

In addition to his parents, Freddie Mae Lawson and Frank Middleton, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jerry L. Lawson and Ronnie Lawson.

He leaves to mourn: Carolyn Lawson (Augusta, GA) his wife whom he deeply loved and adored dearly; three children, Dr. Tahisia (Stefan) Beard (Honeybrook, Pennsylvania), Stanley (Charles) Lawson (Tampa, Florida) and Stephen (Michelle) Lawson (Blythe, Georgia); Seven grandchildren; Avery and Ava Beard, Anastasia, Jeremiah and Gavin Lawson, Trey and Tyler “TJ” Flanagan; two brothers, Frank (Von) Middleton (Hephzibah, Georgia) and Thomas (Elizabeth) Lawson (Blythe, Georgia); two sisters, Patricia Lawson(Augusta, Georgia) and Polly (Stevie) Buggs (Hephzibah, Georgia); Sister in laws; Cynthia Coppett, Angela (Jesse) Luke, Joyce (Marcus) Marshall; Brother in laws; Rickey, Gil, Zachary Scott, Paul Coppett and Rodriquez Wallace. Stoney has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
