Tammy Michelle Davis

1968 — 2025

Augusta, Georgia

Tammy Michelle Davis, a cherished matriarch and vibrant spirit, was born on October 27, 1968, in Augusta, Georgia, where she later transitioned into eternity on August 30, 2025. Her life, though brief in the grand scheme, was filled with the warmth of love, laughter, and incredible memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of those she left behind.

Over the course of 15 devoted years, Tammy dedicated herself to her career at Carole Fabrics, a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment to her craft. The skills she honed in her professional life mirrored the love and care she infused into her personal relationships. Tammy was a graduate of Westside High School, where she undoubtedly began to shape the humorous and competitive spirit that her family and friends cherished.

As a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Tammy was a pillar of strength and joy. She took immense pride in her role as a devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Christie Davis, and her sons, Marquez Johnson and Demetrius Davis. The love she poured into her family was boundless, nurturing not only her children but also her grandchildren, Zylee Burnett and Lonzie Davis, who were, in her eyes, the jewels of her heart.

Tammy’s personality was as vivid as her culinary talents. Known for her skills in the kitchen, she was particularly celebrated for her mouthwatering chitterlings and hog maws. She brought family and friends together over delicious meals, often accompanied by her favorite old-school music, where moments turned into treasured memories. Whether she was readying herself for a game of pitty-pat or spades, her laughter would fill the room, a soundtrack of joy that punctuated every gathering.

Tammy leaves behind her beloved siblings: Stephanie Davis, Angela Davis, Cynthia Collier, and Diane Crawford, with whom she shared countless memories and endless love. Her nieces, Latricka Davis, Candace Garnett, and Latesha Jackson, along with her nephews, Nathaniel Garnett and Christopher Garnett, were fortunate to have her guiding presence in their lives, a legacy of affection, resilience, and fun.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas B. Howard, and her mother, Betty M. Davis, who have now welcomed her into eternal peace.

As we gather to celebrate her life, friends and family will come together for visitation at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service honoring her life will be held the following day, Thursday, September 11, at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Walker Memorial Park at 12:45 PM.

Tammy Michelle Davis embodied the spirit of love and laughter, a dazzling soul who brought joy to all who knew her. She will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched, a reminder of the beauty of family, friendship, and the simple joys of life.
