Tandy Duty, a cherished soul, was born on August 31, 1979, in Augusta, Georgia. graced the for 46 years departing from this life on December 20, 2025, also in her beloved Augusta. Tandy was not just a remarkable individual; she was a devoted member of the United States Army, exemplifying dedication and service to her country that will be remembered by all who knew her.
From an early age, Tandy's life was rich with purpose and faith, baptized at McKinney Branch Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Georgia. Her early experiences in this nurturing environment shaped her into the compassionate and loving person many have come to admire.
Tandy’s educational journey culminated at T.W. Josey High School, from which she graduated in the Class of 1997. During her time there, she not only excelled academically but also brought joy and spirit as a cheerleader, showcasing her vibrant character and ability to uplift those around her.
She leaves behind her precious children, Nevaeh Faith and Brysen Noah, who were the light of her life. Tandy's unwavering love and commitment to them were evident, as she dedicated herself to nurturing their spirits and dreams.
She is also survived by her loving parents, Barbara J. Cooper and Herbert T. Ware, whose hearts will forever carry the love and memories of their dear daughter. Tandy’s family and friends will continually hold onto the warmth she radiated and the indelible mark she left on their lives.
The community is invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Tandy's life. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext in Augusta, GA. Following this, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Christian City of Praise, starting at 2:30 PM, where we will honor and remember her incredible journey among us.
In these moments of remembrance, we reflect on Tandy Duty’s beautiful spirit and the profound impact she had on all of our lives. Though she may no longer walk among us, her love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
