Thomas Givens

Thomas "Tom Tom" Givens, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 1, 2025, in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on August 14, 1977, Thomas’s life was a tapestry woven with warmth, kindness, and laughter, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know him.

He graduated from T.W. Josey High School and dedicated his career to being a machine operator at Kellogg's Plant, where he exemplified the value of hard work and commitment. Thomas had an infectious spirit that lit up the room; his laughter resonated deeply with everyone he encountered. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of his family and friends, always ready to offer support, share a smile, or lend a helping hand.

Thomas is survived by his loving father, Thomas (Vita) Crawford; his sisters, Nancy and Monica Givens, and Olina Walker; and his brothers, Derrick Washington, Mike (Pinkey) Givens, and Henry Givens. He shared special bonds with his friends Yolanda Sapp and James Butler. His family, including a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, will forever hold onto the beautiful memories they created together.

In mourning with them is the memory of Thomas's beloved mother, Virginia Givens, and his brother Joseph Givens, along with his beloved nephew, Juban Webb, who have preceded him in death. Their spirits shall be intertwined with his, providing comfort as they remember the joy he brought to their lives.

A visitation will be held in Thomas’s honor on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. Friends and family are invited to a funeral service the following day, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:30 PM, also at the same funeral home. Thomas’s journey will culminate with interment at South View Cemetery at 3:45 PM on September 13, where he will be laid to rest alongside those who left too soon.
