Viola Bates, a beloved soul and cherished mother, was born on April 2, 1964, in the serene town of Aiken, South Carolina. Viola’s life journey came to a poignant close on May 29, 2025, in Sparta, Georgia, leaving behind a legacy rich in love and integrity.

Viola's warmth embraced all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her spirit shone brightly as she navigated the complexities of life with grace and resilience. She was a devoted mother to Quinton Bates, who continues to carry forth her values and love, making her memory an enduring beacon in his life.

As we gather to honor Viola Bates, there will be opportunities to celebrate her life, and the memories shared. The visitation will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come and pay their respects as we reflect on her beautiful legacy. The following day, Saturday, June 14, 2025, a funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m., also at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, concluding with interment at 4:00 p.m. at Zion Fair Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina.
