Willie Anderson, a beloved father and dedicated member of the ironworks industry, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, at the age of 83. Born on September 9, 1941, in Alabama, Willie lived a life rich with experience, resilience, and love that left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As a retired ironworker, Willie was known for his strength and skill in a field that demands both. His hands shaped metal and his heart shaped the lives of those around him. He poured himself into his work and brought that same dedication home to his family. Willie cherished the time he spent with his sons, Morris (Andrea), Michael, Mark, and Shawn. Each moment shared with them resonated with laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Willie was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Jeanine Anderson. The spirit of joy that he fostered lives on in the hearts of his surviving children, whose lives he shaped with his steady guidance, nurturing spirit, and the courage to be true to oneself.
The community is invited to honor Willie's life during the visitation at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating his remarkable journey will be held at Bean Pond Church in Jackson, South Carolina, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by his interment at the church at 12:15 PM.

His legacy will continue to live on through the strength he instilled in his sons and the love he shared with all who knew him. As we gather to say our goodbyes, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
