Willie Diggs, Jr. was born July 16, 1937, to the late Willie Diggs, Sr. and the late Annie Coleman Diggs of Augusta, GA. He attended the public schools of Richmond County and worked at Martin-Marietta in Augusta, Georgia and retired after thirty years of service. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies hunting, fishing, working on antique cars and in his early years racing cars at the track in Jackson, SC. He also loved listening to quartet music and watching college football games and western TV shows.

He was united in holy matrimony to Stella Louise Moore Diggs November 27, 1981, in Aiken, SC.

Bishop Diggs is the Pastor of Christ Temple Apostolic Church, founded on May 21, 1982. His first service was held at Holy Cross Church with his family by his side. He is also the Pastor and overseer of Christ Temple Apostolic Church II in Sandersville, GA. Bishop Diggs has labored in the vineyard pastoring for forty-three years and will be greatly missed for his wisdom, leadership and generosity. Bishop Diggs entered intorest in the comfort of his home Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Diggs, Sr. and Annie Coleman Diggs; three brothers; Leo Paynes, Farris Diggs and Sylvester Paynes, Jr.; one sister, Barbara Diggs Young; two daughters; Annette Grace and Willie Mae Diggs; one grandson, Darnell Grace.

Bishop Diggs leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of forty-three years, Stella Louise Moore Diggs, five daughters; Joyce Diggs Moufort of Augusta, GA, Sheryl Diggs of Dallas, GA, Barbara Watkins of Augusta, GA, Mary Diggs of Augusta, GA and Sarah Diggs of Augusta, GA; three sons; Joshua (Katrina) Diggs of Augusta, GA, Timothy (Corin) Diggs of Columbia, SC and Matthew (Kimberly) Diggs of Augusta, GA; one brother, Joseph Diggs, Sr. of Augusta, GA; five sister-in-law’s, Hertistine Mallett of Kankakee, IL, Bobbie Jean Moore of Jackson, MS, Amia Vontricia Moore of Jackson, MS, ArenerMoore of Kankakee, IL, and Lucretia Paynes of Charlotte, NC; four brother-in-law’s, Willie (Mary) Moore of Jackson, MS, Henry Lee Moore of Kankakee, IL, Lewis (Janette) Moore of Jackson, MS and Bert (Elmira) Denson of FL. Eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
