Willie Dean Griffin, a beloved member of her community, was born on May 4, 1942, in the quaint surroundings of Old Ellenton, South Carolina. She departed this world on June 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by dedication and resilience, having retired from the esteemed Graniteville Mill. Her contributions to the community and her family have created an enduring tapestry of love and respect that will forever be cherished.

Willie exemplified strength and grace, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance throughout her life. She navigated her journey with a spirit that inspired those around her, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. As a devoted individual, she built a life that resonated with purpose and warmth, creating lasting memories with friends and family alike.

The final moments of Willie’s earthly journey will be honored in a series of services that reflect her life and spirit. A Visitation will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, Georgia. The subsequent day, we will gather to celebrate her life during the Funeral Service at the same location, commencing at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Willie will be laid to rest in an Interment ceremony at Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Beech Island, South Carolina, beginning at 12:30 PM.
