Augusta, GA - Willie Wilder, Jr., beloved husband of Lula Wilder and a cherished member of the community, passed away on September 25, 2023. Born on August 12, 1954, in Richmond County, GA, Willie lived a life filled with love, joy, and countless meaningful connections.

Willie will be remembered for his kind heart and warm smile. He had a gentle nature that instantly put people at ease when they were in his presence. His unwavering positivity and genuine concern for others made him an exceptional friend and confidant. Willie touched the lives of many through his acts of kindness and generosity.

A devoted family man, Willie was a loving husband to Lula Wilder. Their bond served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In addition to his immediate family, Willie leaves behind a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish the moments shared together. He had an incredible ability to make everyone feel seen and heard, making friends effortlessly throughout his life. Willie's infectious laugh and joyful spirit brightened even the dullest of days.

To honor his memory and celebrate his remarkable life, visitation services will be held at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901 on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The funeral service will take place on Monday, October 9th at Bethel AME Church located at 623 Crawford Ave in Augusta, GA 30904. The service will start at 11:00 AM to celebrate Willie's life and legacy. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Walker Memorial Park located at 620 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901. The burial will commence at 12:30 PM.

Willie Wilder, Jr. was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warm heart and unwavering love will be remembered forever. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he enriched.
